What is paint correction?
Color refining machine polish that enhances gloss & removes surface defects.
The automotive paint correction process includes a multi-step chemical decontamination wash, a synthetic clay bar exfoliating treatment, and a color refining machine polish that enhances gloss & removes surface defects using a machine polisher and strategically selected pads and compounds based on the type and condition of the paint.
Proper paint correction varies vehicle to vehicle and in some cases panel to panel on the same vehicle due to a number of variables such as severity of the defects, hardness/softness of the paint, original vs repainted panels and even color of the paint.
How Doespaint Correction Work?
After the proper preparation steps have been completed it is time to start the machine polishing process. This involves using a hand-held machine polisher and by utilizing multiple different pads, compounds, and pressure, this process will remove the unwanted paint defects, enhance gloss, and refine your vehicles color back to its original glory. These cutting compounds remove an extremely thin layer of your clear coat where the swirling, scratches, and surface defects are located and in turn removes those defects.
Polish Type
Depending on the severity of defects within the clear coat of your vehicle, determines the amount of correction stages that are required to bring your factory paint back to showroom quality. You can trust the professional auto detailing paint correction specialists at AZ Auto Aesthetics in Mesa and Scottsdale to know exactly what your vehicle needs.
