A 2026 GMC Hummer EV has a lot of surface area, a bold shape, and an expansive windshield. That combination makes it a striking vehicle, but it also means that keeping the finish stunning and cabin comfortable takes a little more thought than on a smaller daily driver. For this project in Mesa, the owner chose a package focused on paint clarity, easier exterior maintenance, and Arizona sun management through the windshield.
The work centered on paint correction followed by a FEYNLAB Ceramic Ultra V2 coating. The correction step refined the factory paint and brought out its depth, clarity, and gloss before the coating was applied.
On a Hummer EV, a polished result is only part of the equation. With this big of a vehicle, routine washing can be a significant job. Ceramic Ultra V2 adds a slick, hydrophobic surface intended to help reduce dirt buildup and make regular cleaning easier. It is not a substitute for washing, and it does not make the paint immune to chips or scratches. The practical benefit is a finish that is less grabby during maintenance and easier to rinse and dry properly.
The package also included windshield ceramic tint using XPEL XR Prime Plus. The Hummer’s large windshield lets in a lot of light, which can make glare and solar heat noticeable during long Arizona drives. The selected film helps reject heat and reduce glare while preserving the broad forward view that is part of the vehicle’s design.

Once the coating has completed its initial cure period, wash with a pH-balanced automotive soap, work on cool panels out of direct sun, and rinse loose grit away before touching the paint. Use clean wash media and dry with a soft towel or blower. Avoid dragging a towel across a dusty surface or letting mineral-heavy rinse water dry on the body in the afternoon sun.
For the glass, follow the film installer’s care instructions. Use a soft microfiber and a mild, ammonia-free cleaner when needed, and avoid abrasive pads. If the tint has just been installed, give it the recommended time to settle before cleaning or lowering the windows. That helps avoid disturbing film while installation moisture is still drying.
The finished package brings together three distinct goals: a clearer factory finish through paint correction, a slicker surface for easier washing with FEYNLAB Ceramic Ultra V2, and added heat and glare control through XPEL XR Prime Plus windshield tint. None of these upgrades changes the fact that a Hummer EV is a large vehicle that sees real road use, but together they make ownership maintenance more manageable in Arizona.
